Barefoot on the Beach

“I feel like they tricked us with the calypso. Like they injected straight in our blood. Now all we want in life is soca!” – GBM
Listen, when Ajala Pilgrim sat in that classroom in Lok Jack and said Ken I think I need you to do the video for us at Barefoot on the Beach – I responded “ok nice”. When I really thought in my head was, my my, Ajala doesn’t even know how serious it is. Visual storytelling of a party — on the beach? Our speciality.
A few weeks later I landed in Tobago a few days early, girlfriend in tow. In between a harvest pump by Damion I began planning my list of shots. Mt Irvine Bay Resort also provided accommodation for us which allowed us to capture a beautiful introductory sequence which to us made the experience much more memorable.
When my team, Kyeon and Eric arrived I briefed them and set up for the sunset. I’ve been chasing beautiful sunsets for quite some time now and I don’t intend to stop anytime soon. We set up everything and waited. The girls swam in the pool and sipped cocktails and when the time was right we captured he sun dipping below the coconut trees of Mount Irvine. We captured the children playing in the sea next to the picturesque BOTB set up.
Barefoot on the beach was an all inclusive event with service only a resort could provide. The audience was a mixture of foreigners and Trini’s destined to have a good time!
People were actually barefoot! So Clarks off Ken and team was down in the sand too. Diego Martians and Krs Granger carried the night into a state of euphoria culminating in the fireworks display at midnight.
After 100 midnight kisses hit man Howie T played an old school session that had the crowd Cha Cha’n and Soca Training into 2017.
We are ready to make Mt Irvine Resort’s events a staple on the yearly kensambury.com calendar!
